Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.

From three estate vineyards, two 50yo, one 80-100yo. Clear crimson-purple; it's well above average, but given the vintage I would have given anything to hold the alcohol below 14% and have a crisp, joyous wine celebrating vine age and the vintage.

Sweetly fruited and beautifully fragrant, the bouquet shows raspberry, plum, floral and toasted nut characters, leading to a juicy palate that is wonderfully weighted and rounded. The wine offers terrific fruit purity and soothing mouthfeel, finishing long and satisfying. A lovely expression of the variety. At its best: now to 2022
