If you are new to the Islay peats and want to explore this is a safe start, very subtle with a woody smokiness to it as opposed to full peat hit. Nowhere near a lagavulan 16yr old and softer than the talisker 10yr old (A favorite) I recomm

Excellent Islay starting point

A very light and bright starting point for an Islay peat whisky. A tad salty, then vanilla and honey sweetness, finishing with a hint of peat. Overall very smooth and enjoyable. Pricing is excellent with no risk attached.
