Bowmore Darkest 15 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky has been matured in ex-Bourbon casks and then three years in Oloroso Sherry casks, making this Single Malt truly magical. Breathe in delicious dark chocolate, sun-dried fruits and a tell-tale wisp of Islay smoke. On the palate sip wonderful cedar wood and a rich treacle toffee and savour the robust and complex finish with a hint of Sherry tannin.

A welcome purchase, smoother and with more scale than the 12 year. Nose Honey, salty, orange candied fruit Tongue Sherry, little pepper, orange and lemon peel, candied fruits Decent value and a worthy addition to any collection

I do like the smokiness combined with sherry/bourbon ageing. Gives a good character and quality. But it is a bit thin and though water opens up the flavour, it thins out even more.
