The result is a wine with such great intensity in colour and flavour. The abundant of spicy ripe dark fruits along with soft fine tannins and a texturally balanced finished.

The colour is still bright crimson; the blend of Barossa shiraz and Coonawarra cabernet sauvignon has produced some magnificent wines over the years, and this is no slouch; it is crammed full of flavour, but does have an Achilles heel: the amount of oak. Given that it is already 4 years old, it's hard to imagine the oak giving up the fight for centre stage.
