Dry, Full Bodied style of ShirazBarossa Valley, AustraliaThis Yalumba Shiraz shows all the hallmarks of a traditional Barossa red. It is deep in colour with crimson hues. There are aromas of dark fruits - mulberries and spiced cherries. The palate is generous with the spice and dark fruits carrying on from the aromas and licorice. The finish shows a hint of violets from the Petit Verdot and long, grainy, linear tannins.

We loved the previous release of this wine, however the 2015 takes this to another level altogether. It's rich, sumptuous and broody like Barossa Shiraz should be, but is also loose-knit, fragrant, juicy and spicy. The secret ingredient is a dollop of Petit Verdot, a prized grape that brings freshness and complexity- and it works a treat! A crowd-pleaser par excellence.

Round, savoury and delicious. Plum, dark currants, seamless, plush, fresh. The oak and tannins are absolutely where they should be.
