This is really classy Cabernet from a producer on the rise that seems to be getting perfectly in touch with how to stru their stuff. Dark fruits and juicy redcurrant, rich and condensed yet fluent and fresh. Shows what is possible with McLaren Vale Cabernet.
Vintage 2021
The 2021 Dragon's Blood Cabernet Sauvignon is possessed of a heady, sweet nose: dark chocolate, blood plum, black cherry and resin form the core of flavors rising from the glass. In the mouth, the wine is cool and succulent, with layered cassis flavor, and very fine tannins. By "fine," I mean finely ground, silty, like coal dust. Lovely wine!
