The palate is rich and plush with good structure. There is a concentrated layer of berry fruit and oak which is balanced with the fine tannins to give length and power while finishing soft and full of flavour.

Combination of high alcohol and sour-edged acidity has the odds stacked against this, but as it breathes the richness and purity of the fruit wins the day. Plum, chocolate and cranberry flavours do the talking, and persuasively so.
