The 2017 Vintage in the Vale was preceded by generous winter and spring rains with a dry & warm Summer and Autumn. This allowed even ripening & the development of vibrant varietal characters. This Single Vineyard Shiraz shows layered dark fruits, with savoury & herbal notes. The palate is soft & rich with mouth filling plum & spice, finishing with silky tannins. This wine was made by Michael Fragos of Chapel Hill.

Made by the very capable hands of Michael Fragos of Chapel Hill fame. Dense colour. Milk chocolate nose, cherry, plum, clove, rich, smooth, flowing, blackberry, licorice edged, earthy fine tannins, great length, oriental spicy pepper varietal giveaway. Good depth of rich flavour. Classic Vale.

The wine offers fabulous dark fruit richness on the nose with delightful notes of cake spice, cocoa, cedar and game. The palate is equally satisfying with excellent mid palate weight and depth, wonderfully complemented by silky texture and supple tannins. Flavoursome and highly enjoyable. At its best: now to 2024.
