Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.

Regarded lukewarmly on release, the wine has evolved remarkably and demonstrates the value of careful cellaring. Rich and opulent, the tannins, with age, are melting seamlessly into the background. The essential violet bouquet and red and black earthy fruit profile remain, while the maturation process has encouraged seductive savouriness and enhanced the notes of chocolate, charcuterie and licorice that were ever present. Supple and generous, it will hold for quite a few years.
