About this product

Kakubin (meaning square bottle) has been produced since 1937 and is Japan's No 1 whisky brand. The Premium specially blends key malts from Yamazaki and Hakushu, which are then aged in wine and sherry barrels. The whisky offers a rich sweetness and long lasting finish with subtle, aromatic hints of custard cream.

Sweet and different to Scotches, some are to peaty for me. I have had Japanese whiskey before in Japan. I tried this at a tasting and it was a standout. Great to have in the bar for something different.
