It’s not the monster you might expect. It throws tangy herbs through cranberry, blackberry and plum notes then building through the back palate. It seduces slowly. Chocolatey oak is well integrated; it sits in the back row. Tannin is fine, almost filigreed. It’s not the deepest of wines but it has a long future ahead.
