About this product
The grapes for this wine came from the Timbervines Vineyard which is part of the original Lindemans Fordwich Sill plantings of the late 1960’s. This 30 acre block was planted on original Busby vine stock and has been farmed using vertical shoot positioning. Dark plum in colour the 2012 wine is displaying aromas of blackberry, Violets and spice. The palate is rich with excellent depth of berry fruits, Spice and typical Hunter earthiness.

The back label says, "Age for 7 to 10 years," and they were spot on. This is developing very well into a rounded, spicy, earthy, plummy leather bound Hunter classic. It's a good example of a well aged wine that is better now than it ever was. The various flavours have melded together well into a complete and very satisfying drink.
