Jim BarryLodge Hill Clare Valley Shiraz 2012
About this product
The Lodge Hill vineyard is a masterstroke of the Jim Barry range of wines. Adding yet another layer of complexity to this producer's arsenal, Lodge Hill (at 480m) is one of the highest vineyards in the Clare Valley.
This wine has a deep black color with a magenta hue. Aromatically it offers vibrant notes of blueberry and dark cherry. A juicy, fleshy palate is supported by ripe cherry and blackberry fruit. This is delicately built with fine, lingering tannins - wrapped up in integrated, well seasoned oak.

Vintage 2012

2012 was one of the great vintages in Clare. Cellaring the 2012 Lodge Hill shiraz has proved to be an astute move. The wine retains lovely brick red colours, the medium bodied palate displays abundant bright, spicy red and black fruit, softened over 8 years into a stylish, smooth delight.
