It’s a quality release. Awash with spearmint/peppermint aroma/flavour but supported by a flow of blackcurrant and dark olive fruit flavour. It feels pretty swish. It smells lively. Choc-mint and dark fruit characters run powerfully through the finish. Long life ahead, given the right storage conditions.

50 vintages on from the famous ''63 aka Peppermint Pattie, and still with us. Deep, bright colour; this is a very powerful Coonawarra cabernet, with focused blackcurrant, mulberry, earth and mint (the last just a waft), and with the tannin structure to sustain it for decades to come. Oak has played a minor role in the development of the wine to this point, arguably a good thing.
