It's fresh with dark (and red) berried flavour and it feels accessible for that, but as it breathes a range of toasty, tasty, fragrant herb and cedar characters emerge, which makes it yet more enjoyable. There's a tonic-like aspect to this, amid sweet fruit, and a fair curl of well-integrated tannin too. It's well made and a pleasure to drink.
