About this product

Penfolds St Henri has long been considered the true red wine drinkers' red wine. Its elegance, purity and class are just a some of the hallmarks that has cemented St Henri as one of Australia's greatest red wines. First made back in 1957, St Henri is matured in 50 plus year old seasoned oak vats for over year, imparting a grace not usually associated with big South Australian red wines. The 2010 St Henri is a standout in the Luxury Release line-up, scoring a perfect 100 point score from Andrew Caillard MW. There is no doubt this praise is warranted as the wine shows a palate of rich fruits, dark chocolate and espresso coffee notes that defies all expectations. Wonderfully concentrated and pure, the wine is held together with fine, balanced tannins that results in a remarkable length. While a little time in the cellar will certainly reap rewards, don't waste too much time in enjoying this breathtaking release.
