Mosstowie as a distillery operated from 1964 to 1981. Actually operated as a part of the Miltonduff Speyside distillery using a complex set of Lomond style stills that proved to be expensive to maintain. Only ever bottled by independent bottlers such as Gordon & MacPhail. It is lovely dark gold colour, the nose is freshly washed wool and hessian, polished oak, beeswax and orange peel.
