Benriach is located on the same site as Longmorn near Elgin at the top of the Spey Valley. Originally owned by the Grant family, then Seagrams but now in independent hands. It is a pale golden colour with a nose of subtle sherry, herbs and some almond. A little water will bring out cracked pepper and marzipan. In the mouth, pepper, toffee, Brazil nut, berries and may even remind you of ice-cream soda with a sweet creamy finish. A light and subtle aperitif dram with a fruity finish.
