Peat Smoke Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700mL

This is a seriously smoky whisky. It's Speyside peat, peaty but without the iodine tinge that most Islay peat gives. One the nose, vanilla, honey and cured meat. A bit of lemon and slight tobacco, even sugared almonds. In the mouth, cracked pepper, aniseed and even a hint of orange with cooked apple and pear emerge. The finish however is smoky, just like sitting around a camp fire.
