About this product

The founders of Oban distillery were entrepreneurs who imported and exported goods for which they could sense a demand. They would have approved of the Spanish influence brought to bear in this Montilla Fino cask wood finish. A seriously complex whisky of the highest order - a glorious zesty nose and plenty of sweet fruit complemented by salt and chewy, roasty caramel malt.

Thoroughly enjoyed this bottle. As a rum drinker I felt bold branching out, but this was quite exquisite. Beautiful fruit flavours, aromatic, smooth, charring was present but not overwhelming, excellent value for the price point.

Very smooth whisky, lots of fruit, slight smokiness (for my taste) and perhaps a hint of greek yogurt. Easy to drink but just lacks of bit of depth to the finish. Enjoyable and recommend. Good value for its price.
