Bushmills Single Malt Whiskey 16 year old is aged for 16 years in a combination of Oloroso Sherry and Bourbon-seasoned casks, then matured for several months in port wine barrels. The unique maturation process gives this single malt its distinct notes of juicy fruits, nuts and spice, as well as a hint of ruby redness. It’s best enjoyed neat or over ice.

To me, this is a little smoother over other Irish Whiskey and that might be because of the combination of barrel use. I recommend this one, great on a cold night ( or anytime).

Well worth the extra $s up from the 10yo. Hard to come by tho. Only one store in WA carrying it ?!? Great taste & another lovely expression of Irish goodness, with no smoke in sight, thankfully!
