Fashioned from small parcels ex individual vineyards, open-fermented in the state of the art McLaren Vale winery, basket-pressed by the 100-year-old press, then matured in American and French barriques before final blending after 16 months. Exceptional crimson-purple; a potent and intense medium to full-bodied shiraz of exceptional length and complexity, the quality of the tannins the foundation for the distinguished palate. A brace of gold medals in '12 barely does justice to the wine.
