Deep red/purple hue, with a complex, earthy, humus-like bouquet, which also suggests roll-your-own tobacco and echoes of blueberry. The wine is medium to full-bodied and loaded with firm tannins. A big, firm, highly-structured wine, which finishes with a big tannin grip that lingers. It's a little chewy and not as elegant as some vintages of this wine. Cellaring recommended.
