The tiny Superiore di Cartizze piece of land is located in Valdobbiadene, in the heart of the Prosecco DOCG area, and is set like a jewel amidst the steepest hills around San Pietro di Barbozza, Santo Stefano and Saccol. Only 106 hectares in size, the Cartizze area supplies the best grapes in the Appellation, which are made into this Prosecco Cartizze, a highly treasured sparkling wine that achieves the best quality in the DOCG Conegliano-Valdobbiadene area. This elegant sparkling wine offers an attractive nose reminiscent of apple and pear, with hints of citrus and sugared almonds. Crisp, harmonic, complex to the palate.

A surprise late Christmas Present from friends we travelled in italy with. One of the best Prosecco's I have had the pleasure of drinking. Yum!

Given that I enjoy Prosecco, I bought this as a celebratory drink for our wedding anniversary instead of the usual French bubbles and it did not disappoint. Had a pleasant fruity aroma and was pale in colour which is what I normally prefer
