This Indian Pale Ale was crafted to honour the brewing traditions of a beer that journeyed by ship from England to the Indian Colonies, in an era when the ship’s captain wore inked swallows as proof of his sailing prowess. Captain’s IPA is brewed using two specialty malts for a rich toffee flavour with a complex fusion of aroma and bitterness hops to deliver an intense, yet smooth taste.

I stumbled across this beer late last year and have been re-buying it ever since. While it's more Pale Ale than IPA, my favourite beer is Little Creatures Pale Ale so that works for me. This is an enjoyable drop at a good price.

This is a great IPA for someone being introduced to IPA beers. It is not full flavoured like the Feral Hop Hog IPA but still has a light taste of the IPA qualities and easy to drink. I really enjoyed it. The price and AV% is just right. Wil

This beer whilst Faux-Craft (Big label craft beer) is a very well done IPA, it lacks the full blown Hop explosion of many IPA's on the scene, but that's just the point this isn't an American Dogfish-esque IPA this is classic British recipe
