About this product

This is a producer to watch - Chateau Rouget rapidly gaining attention for unique wines sourced from an unusually sandy soil rich vineyard, and a dominance of Merlot in the blend with Cabernet Franc. The wine spends around 15 months in oak barrels of which a low, one third are new wood. The purity is therefore brought to the fore, and a freshness and vitality is imbued in the wines. Gently sweet, gently leafy and satiny textured, this is a wine to dive right into with gusto, firing from the 2010 harvest.
