About this product

The Chateau Rauzan-Segla was a dwindling producer revived by canny consultant winemaker Professor Peynaud and further enhanced when purchased by Chanel in the mid 1990s. The Chateau Rauzan-Segla has subsequently risen in the ranks of desirable Bordeaux, regaining ground on it's 2nd Growth status, particularly through the increase of Cabernet Sauvignon in its blend, and the use of new oak as a higher proportion in maturation. This dense release showcases the perfume of Margaux, but with a complex palate displaying a variety of nuances from mint to chocolate to herbal notes and back to pure, dark berry fruit. A wine that will last half a century in cellar.
