Château Chasse-SpleenMoulis-en-Médoc 2010
About this product
Possibly the most famous of Moulis producers and certainly holding its weight with the notable producers of Cru Bourgeois wines, Ch?teau Chasse-Spleen is complex and interesting enough to out-gun many of the Medoc's fancier-named producers. It's a wine that has increased in quality with the guidance of owners from Taillan Group in cahoots with proprietor Claire Villars. The blend in 2010 is 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Merlot, which has resulted in a supple wine of immediate sweet fruit appeal, touched by herbal complexity and compelling now to fifteen years.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.

90 points Wine Advocate Jr
A beautiful effort from Chasse-Spleen, this dense purple wine exhibits plenty of black currant and black cherry fruit with some licorice, roasted herbs and forest floor. Medium to full-bodied and supple, the final blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Merlot
