About this product

Though only Cru Bourgeois, this Haut-Medoc estate is widely considered a statement wine amongst those without classification in the region. The small estate has expanded in the latter stages of the 20th century, to now include some 60-or-so hectares of vines, inlcuding large tracts of Cabernet Sauvignon, with Merlot and Cabernet Franc equally planted in lesser quantity. The wines are sent to bottle without fining or filtration, and typically matured in mostly new oak barrels. The style of Chateau Sociando-Mallet is set to full throttle and big impact, delivering this in 2010, and needing time to settle and mellow.
