About this product

A pint-sized vineyard that covers a mere three hectares of land, Chateau Le Dôme is a Cabernet Franc dominant wine, though the land holdings also contain exceptional, older vine Merlot plantings. The St-Emillion-based producer is owned by Jonathon Maltus, also of Chateau Teyssier. Vines here date back to the 1950s and are planted on sandier soils, tended by hand and maintained to producer lower, but higher quality yields. Fermentation occurs in wooden vat, with maturation in French oak following. The rare wines are prized for their density but also their incredible, wafty, ethereal perfumes, and show superbly from the glorious 2010 vintage.
