About this product

A stones throw from the famed Chateau Beychevelle, the estate is set in the south of the St Julien appellation and notable for vitality, finesse and elegance. The wine here is produced by Patrick Maroteaux whose increasingly influence is in turn elevating the quality and reputation of these wines. Oak is higher at around 80% new barrels, but the fruit is up to the task, with ripeness and concentration on its side from 2010. The vineyard is split to 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 22% Merlot, with lesser plantings of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot included. A producer to take careful note of.
