About this product

The Irish-born Barton family moved to Bordeaux in the early 1800s and slowly went about curating the Chateau Langoa-Barton estate, now in the hands of descendant Anthony Barton. The estate Chateau Langoa-Barton is set-aside the other family-owned concern of Leoville-Barton, an additional sweetener for investing in this well-versed 3rd Growth wine. From only 20 hectares of vines, this is a Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant blend that spends 18 months in 50% new oak. While powerful, there is surprising restraint too, and though similar in style to the sister property, finds distinction in soil profiles that lend some earthy minerality here.
