About this product

You could easily be seduced by the idea th this is the second wine of Chateau Montrose, but in essence, this is a wine created independently and with quality intent on its own. The wine has been overseen by talented winemaker Jean Delmas, and is a blend of  64% Cabernet Sauvignon and 36% Merlot. The wine is known for its more bony, slender profile and for accessibility as a younger wine - it's for delving into the world of Montrose, but finding excitement at a more elementary price point. The harvest of Montrose fruit in 2010 is considered equal to its greatest years, so there is little hesitation in recommending this wine for 'dipping the toe in the water'.
