Château La Croix FigeacSaint-Émilion 2010
About this product
The location should imbue the wine with greater accolade and wines, set near Figeac and and the famed Cheval Blanc on limestone dominant soils. The take-over of the property by Jean Dutruilh in the 1990s with his winemaker father has resulted in a progresive increase in quality for the wines. The vineyard is 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc and boasting older (35-year-old median age) vines. This savoury-toned wine shows dark plum and dark berry fruit character with a softness that appeals immediately.
