Château Barde-HautLibéral Pauillac 2010
About this product
A relation to the owners of Smith Haut Laffite, Sylviane Garcin-Cathiard has long lineage in the region of Bordeaux, even before the purchase of the Chateau Barde-Haut estate. The wines have been rebooted by a serious investment in the winery and vineyards over past recent time, and a more youthful approach to winemaking has resulted in more approachable though fuller-bodied wines. This 2010 iteration is 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc; a wine curated by proprietor Helene Garcin-Leveque who is known for her work across Bordeaux. A high quality release from 2010.

92 points Wine Advocate Jr
Loads of blueberry, black cherry and dusty, loamy soil notes as well as hints of herbs, licorice and incense jump from the glass of this well-endowed, supple wine. Tannins are sweet and the acidity sufficient to give delineation to the wine.
