About this product

A substantial producer of Sauternes wines, sourcing fruit from their 79 hectare property located in the south of the appelation. The estate lies in a confluence of climate and position between the Ciron and Garonne rivers, creating a regular opportunity for botrytis on the grapes. The grape varieties are split between Semillon 75%, Sauvignon Blanc 23% and Muscadelle 2%, which when picked for Sauternes sweet wines are fermented in stainless steel tanks before spending around 18 months in 60% new oak. Chateau de Rayne-Vigneau is classified 1st Growth.
