Bright straw-green; a generous bouquet and palate, with ripe citrus and tropical aromas and flavours; impeccable line, length and balance. Offers much now, yet more in the future.

Springvale is known to be a more floral, approachable riesling (than it’s annual sibling, Polish Hill) but this release has a power that puts that cutesyness to the test. It’s limey, apple-like, steely and strong through the finish, with a signature (attractive) bitterness ringing through the aftertaste. This is an excellent riesling. Most of its charms are already on show and it’s unlikely to be an extremely long termer, but I reckon a few years in the bottle will add to its charm.
