It's no wonder Spaniards drink so much tempranillo! When handled well, the variety can be quite delicious, as more and more Aussies are discovering. This is loaded with ripe cherry fruit, a splash of cola, and a chocolate hint, although it is not a fruit bomb. There's a supporting layer of savoury fine tannin, a hint of licorice and pleasing length and breadth to add complexity to the picture. Sip this with jamon or tapas.
