A sumptuous offering; the gloriously expressed bouquet shows blackberry, plum jam, vanilla pod, cedar and cake spice aromas, followed by a concentrated palate that is dense yet gracefully velvety. The wine combines power and refinement, offering intense fruit richness with gorgeous complexity, finishing magnificently long and engaging. At its best: now to 2030.

A saturated, fully fruited, hearty Barossa thunderbolt. Dark hearted, yet soft, fluid and roundly finished, and with a strong line of black fruit - intense and thick. Excellent oak integration matches the full flavour of the prime shiraz fruit, but does not overly dominate. 2016, as evidenced here, was a great vintage in the Barossa.
