A selection of grapes from the best blocks, matured in oak barriques for 28 months (55% new, mostly French). A particularly elegant wine, one of the best-balanced Odysseys for some years, with supple cassis, earth, mint and black olive cradled by fine quality oak, and protected by high quality cork (the Spanish owner of Freixinet having friends in the right places). There is no reason why this wine will not kick on well past its 20th birthday.
