Strong, deep crimson; this is the very essence of McLaren Vale, verging on a caricature, so potent is the overlay of bitter chocolate to the black fruits and firm, ripe tannins; there is not a hint of dead fruit here. Gold medal Adelaide Wine Show ’10 was no surprise.
