...Bin 407 always cops a bit of criticism but recent releases have been steady. This has aromas of black olives and brandy spirit, with notches of warm blackcurrant and leaf. The palate is simple but pure, with a mouthfilling rendition of bright, dusty, herbal blackcurrant and tannins that are just right.

Medium red-purple; the bouquet is clean, but somewhat closed, black fruits and subtle oak there but not demonstrative. The palate has reassuring substance, with earthy blackcurrant fruit, and subtle oak. The strongest point of the wine is the particularly good tannins on a long finish.
