Light puce; early picked 100% cabernet sauvignon for rose was pioneered by Houghton in the 1970s, using grapes grown in the Swan Valley. Here Langmeil has come up with a handful of aces, with vibrant redcurrant fruit, crisp acidity, and a long, dazzlingly fresh, finish and aftertaste.

Utterly gorgeous. No overworked effort here to be sweet or dry, just refreshingly full of redcurrant and raspberry freshness, all with cleansing dry acidity yet fleshy and flavoursome all the way through. The highlight of an extensive tasting.
