Kay Brothers Amery VineyardsBlock 6 Shiraz 1995
About this product
Frederick and Herbert Kay planted the Block 6 vineyard in 1892 with a myriad of varieties on a bed of remarkably varied soils. This natural diversity has allowed Kay Brothers to produce a concentrated masterpiece from this vineyard without any real need to play around in the winery. The vineyard does all the work. The 1995 Block 6 has proven to be a cellar star and is now a classic example of what great aged McLaren Vale Shiraz can be. Briary characters have disapated to reveal an earthen beauty that needs to be enjoyed slowly and thoughtfully.
