Talisker have released one of their oldest malts to date, the 35 Year Old Isly of Skye Single Malt. Distilled in 1977 and having matured for the past 35 years in a mixture of American and European casks, this powerful malt has lost none of its trademark 'peatiness'. On the palate, the malt is wonderfully peaty and medicinal, with a perfect balance, a perfect mouth feel and a perfect fruitiness.

What can I say about this absolutely beautiful whisky. Its a cracker, the nose, the taste is just wonderful. This will be an absolute classic, one that if you can afford you should purchase to savor over the coming years.

Can't comment on whiskey yet, haven't cracked it. Bottle arrived in good time, however packaging was slightly damaged. Not the greatest discovery for a $1000 bottle. Hope the whiskey lives up to expectations. :-)
