About this product

Penfolds Magill Estate Shiraz is a slice of history. The only remaining wine from Penfolds that is solely grown and made at the historic Magill Estate in the Eastern suburbs of Adelaide - and still today a single vineyard wine. Medium-bodied in style with a tendency towards succulent red fruits and herbaceous tones, the 2003 Magill is a remarkable wine that clearly demonstrates the unique micro-climate of the Magill vineyard. While drought was playing havoc in most parts of South Australia, this little suburban old vine vineyard thrived. Cooling breezes from the surrounding gullies as well as the houses that encircle the vineyard has produced a Magill Shiraz of elegance and beauty.
