Ardbeg Galileo - celebrating Ardbeg's first ever experiment in space! Named after one of the forefathers of astronomy while also paying tribute to the ground breaking research being undertaken at the International Space Station. NanoRacks LLC and Ardbeg have collaborated to send particles of unmatured malt and charred oak into space to study their interaction at zero gravity. The results of which could have huge implications for many industries, including those involved in distilling. The celebration whisky is a 12 year old single malt which has a Sicilian ex-Marsala cask malt at its heart which is balanced with first fill ex-Bourbon casks. A very limited release, the Ardbeg Galileo is a truly rare whisky that every Islay aficionado will want to own.
