Angostura aromatic bitters is 100% natural with no artificial colours, flavours or additives. Its density, consistency, visual appeal and taste cannot be beaten or replicated, although many have tried. The secret recipe has remained unchanged for nearly 200 years. Only five people know the whole recipe of 52 natural ingredients and other staff members know individual portions.Since 1824, Angostura aromatic bitters has been made using the same secret recipe. A selection of herbs and spices are weighed and mixed and then transferred to stainless steel baskets that are hoisted on to large percolators where alcohol is introduced.
