The Balvenie 15 Year Old Scotch Whisky is drawn from a single traditional oak whisky cask from a single distillation which helps the uniqueness of The Balvenie come the fore. Each and every cask of the 15 Year Old is hand selected by the Malt Master and is characterised by the trademark honey, vanilla and oak driven complexity famous at The Balvenie.

A birthday present for a sexagenarian plus; this was a delightful taste experience. Wonderful nose; extremely smooth on the palate and with a glorious long finish. A memorable (aural and) sensual experience. To be recommended.

Balvenie is made in Dufftown it is one of a very few malts using Scotlands malt/barley so it is 100% Highland malt whiskey.It is the King of malts.

When I first tasted this I was at a whisky bar in Brisbane and since it has become one of my favourite scotches. The price may put off some but it is by far and away the outstanding 15yo I have tasted thus far. Nice notes of honey and vanil
