About this product

1973 marked the very first vintage of Wolf Blass Black Label - a wine that subsequently went on to win the 1974 Jimmy Watson Trophy, the first of three consecutive Jimmy Watson's. Black Label has always been a traditional blend that Wolf wanted to be immediately enjoyable upon release, which was proven by its early popularity. The 2005 Black Label is truly one of the standouts of recent Black Labels - a cabinet full of trophies and gold medals proof of such. Dense, dark and brooding with supple oak and fruit tannins that glide across the palate to deliver a length of flavour that is beyond belief.
